Additional information Rheumatology
We recommend that all physicians in training for the specialist title "Rhematology" also start the training in sonography at the latest at the beginning of their specialist training. The aim is to successfully complete the certificate of competence or the final examination immediately after the specialist examination.
The guidelines for obtaining the certificate of competence in ultrasound SGUM musculoskeletal system are coordinated with the guidelines of the SIWF and the FMH.
Supervision
Doctors in training to become specialists in "Rheumatology" are supervised in the corresponding training clinics. Ideally by a tutor SGUM musculoskeletal system.
If no tutor is available at a training clinic for personnel reasons, it is possible to appoint a supervisor as a temporary solution.
Prerequisite for Supervisor
The status "Supervisor" allows the training and supervision of ultrasound examinations according to the guidelines of the SGUM Musculoskeletal Section as a senior physician at the clinic.
- Senior physician/cadre physician/physician at a rheumatology training clinic
- FMH Rheumatology and the SGUM Musculoskeletal Section certificate of competence completed.
- Supervisor must be a member of the SGUM Musculoskeletal Section.
The aim is to have as many well-trained SGUM tutors as possible available as senior physicians/ management physicians at the clinics. It is therefore desirable for the clinic management to think in good time about newly trained tutors and to report suitable tutor candidates to the SGUM Board.
The procedure is such that the head physician can apply ad personam for the status of "supervisor" for suitable senior physicians/cadre physicians who fulfill the above-mentioned conditions to the Executive Committee of the SGUM Musculoskeletal Section.
